Oistins
Has everything you need for your stay. Walk across the road from the Wanderlust Barbados units and dip your toe in the ocean. Walk along the beach (in daylight) or along the road to reach Oistins:
- Oistins Fish Fry – the place to go for vibe in the area is only 900 meters along the South Coast road – it is open every day, not just Fridays – delicious fish, excellent value
- Massy Grocery Store – 650 meters away is the main grocery store in the area
- Surfer’s Cafe – 500 meters away is the prime place for breakfast in the area – right on the water
- Hibiscus Cafe – 750 meters to reach this cafe, which guests tell us is fabulous for breakfast
Welches Beach and Freights Bay
Surfing
The South Coast offers a number of surf spots, and a couple of them are at your door:
- Welches Beach – is the premier launch spot for wing foiling
- Freights Bay – offers a beautiful wave with long clean lines – a great spot for beginners or intermediates
- Surfers Point – when it fires, it is fun

At the entrance of the St. Lawrence Gap, sit on the balcony and overlook the bay. Food and drinks and delicious and reasonably priced.
